Australian artist, PETER OYSTON,
went to Art School in Melbourne, then went overseas for a number of
years holding exhibitions in Paris, London, Liverpool and Manchester.
His spiritual paintings of bush and sea
are amongst collections in Tokyo, US, UK and Paris. His
gallery, the WALLABY DREAMING ART GALLERY, on the river at the Bend of
Islands, holds a permanent ever-changing exhibition of paintings, which
evoke a mystical sense of paradise.

Peter
also directs plays and teaches drama regularly at RADA (The Royal
Academy of Dramatic Art) in the UK. He was the founding Dean of Drama
at the Victorian College of the Arts, where he created the original
drama course. He has recently directed an essential practical DVD/Video
on 'How to Use the Stanislavski System' for theatre directors, actors and teachers of Drama, world wide (distributor, Contemporary Arts Media).

Twice a year Peter participates in an Artists' Open Studio program with other professional artists in his local area, promoted by the Nillumbik Shire Council.
Meanwhile, a documentary film is being completed (2007) about Peter's life as an artist, theatre director and teacher.
At present, Peter is teaching the new Academy of Performing Arts at Monash University, Clayton Campus.
